If you want to customize a walk-in closet in your room, you’ll need enough space to store clothes, shoes, hats, bags, and other items, so you must allow sufficient room to move around. Considering this, we recommend a room size (including the closet area and living space) of at least 100 square feet.
However, the specific size requirement still depends on your actual storage needs and the room’s layout. If you have a lot of clothes to store, or want to create more functional areas within the closet (such as fitting areas, hanging areas, drawers, etc.), you’ll need more space.
